OXYGEN FIRST AID PROGRAM
Covers
the Administration and Provision of Oxygen under pressure in various
accident situations including (but NOT limited to):
Diving
Accidents - Road Accidents - Shock Treatment - Gas Inhalation &
Poisoning
In
this Program the Basic First Techniques are supplemented by the
additional use of Oxygen which is proven to aid and assist in life
support, especially in CPR.
We
study and practice:

The Safe use and Handling of Oxygen Delivery Systems

Basic Risk Assessment

Build up and Break Down of Oxygen Equipment
-
Maintenance & Caring for Oxygen Delivery Systems

The Use and Application of Oxygen in various accidents Scenarios
-
Practice being donor and receiver of Oxygen
The
program is largely practical but some academic study is required.

Units
Program is 4 to 6 hours. With approximately 90mins of Academic Study
and the balance of time is application. Maximum class
number is 8, 4 to each O2 Unit and a Manikin.
